Q. Why is downloading better than
streaming?
A. Downloading the entire movie gives
you the power to play it at your convenience and at the highest quality.
And you can watch the movie as many times as you like during the rental
period. You also have full VCR functionality in that you can
fast-forward, rewind, freeze frame and play just as you would with a
regular VCR.
Q. Can I share the movies with my
friends on different PCs?
A. We encourage you to
invite your friends to use PartyEdge. Therefore, our secure licensing
system does not allow file sharing.
Q. Can I purchase new PartyEdge
Movie Passes for movies I have already
downloaded?
A. Yes. Simply visit your
My Home page and purchase the
title again. After you complete Step
1: Install Movie Pass, you're done. You now enjoy the movie you have
already downloaded for a new rental period.
Q. How fast can I download a
movie?
A. Well, that depends on the speed of your
broadband connection. With a fast connection (e.g., 750 Kbps) you can
download one hour's worth of video in about an hour and twenty
minutes.
Q. Do I need broadband
internet?
A. Yes. Dial up is just too slow for the
high quality content we offer.
Q. When does the rental period
for a movie begin?
A. When your first play it.
Thus, you can watch a movie at your convenience...and, of course, there
are never any late fees.
Q. What happens to my system when
I click OK to install a PartyEdge Movie Pass?
A.
Nothing happens to your system. The Movie Pass is completely safe and
will not affect your system in any way. It is merely used to ensure the
security of the movie you have rented.

to suggest some ideas for improvement or titles I'd like to see offered.

Q. Why are the movies divided
into parts 1, 2, 3, etc.?
A. The movies are divided
into smaller pieces for your convenience. This gives you faster
gratification since you can start watching scenes from the movie without
having to wait for the entire title to download.
Q. I see a security dialog box.
Is it going to harm my system?
A. No the security
certificate notifies you that your entering the secure section of
PartyEdge. Click on Yes and proceed.
Q. If I rent a movie now, can I
watch it later?
A. Yes. You can begin watching a
movie up to 30 days after you've rented it.
Q. When does the rental period
start?
A. The rental period starts the first time
you play the movie.
Q. If I stop playing the movie,
can I view it again later?
A. Yes, as long as you
play it during the rental period. Otherwise you can rent another Movie
Pass for the title.
Q. Can I rent more than one move
at a time?
A. Yes you can rent as many movies as
you want.
Q. Is it safe to give my credit
card info?
A. Yes, our order form is a secure page.
The order form and all information entered are encrypted for security
while in transit.
Q. What will my credit card
statement show?
A. It will show a charge from
PartyEdge.
Q. What if I want to re-rent
movies after they expire?
A. When you want to
re-rent the movie, visit PartyEdge.com and select the movie for rental.
After installing the Movie Pass, skip the download step and simply play
the previously downloaded copy on your hard drive.
Q. Are expired movies
automatically deleted?
A. No. If you don't want to
re-rent the movie, you can delete the movie files from your hard drive.
Technical FAQ
Q. The PartyEdge Movie Pass
doesn't install.
A. Make sure that your system is
configured according to the system requirements. Then log out, restart
Internet Explorer, return to your My Home
page and try downloading again.
Q. I downloaded a movie and I now
I can't find it.
A. Always download to a folder
that you can easily find. For example, we recommend creating a folder
called "PEMovies" for your downloads. You can also use the "Find Files
or Folders..." function built into Windows to search for the titles you
have downloaded.
Q. I don't get any
sound.
A. Check to make sure that your sound card
is properly configured and that your speakers are powered on.
Q. How do I view the movie in
full screen mode?
A. In Windows Media Player,
select View, then Full Screen.
Q. How do I freeze
frame?
A. In Windows Media PLayer, click on the
square "stop button."
Q. I want PartyEdge to retain my
billing information to make ordering easier. How do I do
this?
A. Simply check the box that says, "Remember
my billing information," on the billing page.
Q. If I have a question that's

Q. I don't see the check out link
in the gray shopping cart box. What's up with
that?
A. Adjust the browser text size. From the
Internet Explorer menu, select View then Text Size then Medium. The
browser will now display text correctly.
Q. My internet connection dropped
before the whole movie or segment was downloaded. How do I resume
download?
A. Click on My Home,
sign in, then click on the title of the movie you were downloading. The system will resume
downloading your movie(s).
Q. Do I need any special
software to rent and view PartyEdge movies?
A. You
need Windows
Media Player 7.1 or newer and Internet
Explorer 5 or newer.
Q. How much hard drive space do
the movies require?
A. The average 80 minute movie
requires about 600 MB.
